Complete Geekout by VagabondX Complete Geekout by VagabondX
Since I have yet to figure out how to add images to a journal I submit this here. I found this tonight at Wal-mart. A legitimate dvd of the two 1970's Captain America movies.

Talk about Geeking Out.

I found the Dr Strange on video a few years ago but, unless there is ever a feature film, I doubt they will dvd it.

Well, you should be able to add this to your journal using the thumbnail code to the right there (:thumb278074857: ). It'll only work if you're a premium member, which I'm not, so that's why it won't show up for me.

Alternatively, I believe html code works in journals, so you need to find the source of the image and use the <img src=""></i> code. It's been a while since I've been a premium member, though, so I may be mistaken.

Say that in that in the store too the other day. Odd how the failed 70s pilot episodes are getting a DVD release together... but not the one from the early 90s... I've seen DVD packaging of the 3 Lion King movies, the 4 Ninja Turtles including TMNT, and even Peter Pan... but 2 of the 3 PRIOR Captain American movies before the "good" are begin sold together... and one of those 2 he only throws his shield one.... in practice.... and threw a slab a of meat at some crooks...

I heard of these movies, but I know as much about them from watching the SpoonyOne reviews.

Yeah, they are horrible movies but for many, many years they were the only live-action Cap we had. Which is why they continue to have a cult following in geekdom.

Yes, but does that mean the 90s one is the worst of them all?

No the 70's ones are way worse than the 1990 one. The latter at least got the costume right and was closer to the actual comic book storylines. I actually liked the 1990 movie. My biggest gripe about it was that the Red Skull only looked like himself for the first 20 minutes of the movie. After that he had 'plastic surgery' and just ended up looking like a scarred regular guy.

Reb's brawl in "Death Too Soon" was a great redeeming quality. :D
